Mary Lennox travelled from India to England to go and live at her uncle’s
estate. Her uncle is very distant due to the loss of his wife ten years before.
Mary begins exploring the estate and discovers a garden that has been locked and
neglected. Aided by one of the servants’ brothers, she begins restoring the
garden, and eventually discovers some
other secrets of the manor.
I chose this book because it is
about the way people used to live in the past.
What I enjoyed a lot is the story of
three different characters.
I would recommend this book to
readers who have a good level of English because the vocabulary can be hard
