GONE by Michael Grant

Alexian, 3°

Sam Temple lives in California with his mother, but one day, during their history class the teacher disappears. The children realise that a kind of sphere is around the town and that they can’t go out of it, and the adults and the children over fifteen have disappeared. They have gone. The “freaks”, children who have power, cause some trouble and two gangs have formed and fight to know who is going to lead. Food is beginning to run out and time is pressing because on the day of their fifteenth birthday, they know they will disappear and Sam is nearly fifteen.

I really enjoyed this book because there are adventures, actions and suspense. I think that the story is interesting and original and, that Michael Grant is a very good writer who knows how the make his book captivating and exciting.
